A Missile Silo is a unique neutral tile that contains a single-use missile that can be launched by any player. Despite its appearance, it is not considered a property as it cannot be captured.

To launch a missile, an Infantry or Mech must be placed on the silo. This unit may then be given the Launch command, which will bring up a 2-radius zone underneath the cursor that denotes the area the missile will affect, with a maximum area of 13 tiles in total. In Fog of War, the owner does not need vision of an area to fire on it. Clicking again will fire the missile - this will end the turn of the Infantry or Mech that fired it and the Silo cannot be used again for the rest of the game, and will change its texture to indicate it has been spent.

All units within the blast radius of the missile will take 3HP damage, both enemy and allied. Units can never be destroyed by this attack - they will fall to a minimum of 0.1HP, displayed as Hitpoints 1. Crucially, this 3HP of damage applies regardless of the value of the unit - an Infantry will take 300 funds worth of damage, but a Mega Tank struck by one will take a whopping 8400 funds worth of damage. In addition, this damage will also not count for the purposes of power meter charge.

The potential for missiles to deal huge amounts of unavoidable damage that does not contribute to any power charge means that loaded Missile Silos are a very rare sight in modern AWBW competitive maps, as they either offer a disruptively strong advantage for negligible investment or have a severe effect on FTA, with the first player able to reach it able to cripple the opponent's army or capture game while denying the opponent any chance of recovery. They can very rarely however be utilised as lategame properties on maps observed to have a tendency for stally games, with the intention that the missiles be used to break stalemates during key turns. If they are added for this reason, they are kept well out of reach during the early turns so they do not affect the capture phase, and are best used on large clumps of units to aid dedicated wallbreakers such as Md. Tanks and Bombers.

However, unloaded Missile Silos do not have this issue and are semi-common on many maps as a result, essentially granting all the various terrain bonuses of a property without granting the associated bonuses, including for the purposes of Kindle's powers. They act as favourable tiles to park units due to their high defense and can sometimes be used to strengthen an attack on a contested property itself if they are located adjacent to one.
